”OH MY GOD – there are no words.” That was the reaction of Andrea Cerqua from the Humane Society of Amherst County after seeing our new book “Because Someone Rescued Me…” for the first time. The book is a photo essay from a dog’s perspective about how his life has been affected because he was rescued from a shelter. PJ, the “author”, was adopted in October 2009 after he was saved by Andrea and her colleagues at the Humane Society of Amherst County and transported to New Jersey by Aunt Mary’s Doghouse, a nonprofit rescue group based in Blairstown.
